Despite being a prequel to Greyscale Mirror World Anomaly that uses a lot of the same foundation, there have been quite a number of balancing and mechanical reworks done to the combat that should hopefully make some options more viable/palatable to use.

New Mechanics:
Leader Skills - A new skill type that's exclusive to Eve is Leader Skills, and utilizes the PHYS meter from the previous game. When the meter is full you can utilize a limited but powerful skill exclusive to Eves action. In the demo the player can currently access the initial skill, Converter, where upon use the whole party restores 50mp at the cost of the bar. In the future expect abilities that allow eve to access late game skills early in a more limited capacity, or powerful exclusive skills (such as sacrificing the rest of the party to give herself a massive buff in combat).

Nightmare Bartering - Throughout dungeons, Eve will be able to barter with some nightmares and convince them to join her party. Once joined they'll be permanently unlocked for the rest of the game to use. However a downside is that Nightmare party members level up significantly slower, so its advised to obtain new Nightmares and cycle out weaker ones when needed.

Combat Re-balances:
- Physical Skills now drain health from the user instead of the Phys Meter. This was done to reduce the power of Physical skills, as especially in late game Mirror World Anomaly there's zero risk but very high yields on enemies that lack physical resistance. Now to conserve MP there's a risk factor to consider.
-  Pure Ailment skills now steal health from the enemy its attacking. This was done to give the player more of a reason to use ailment skills, as in Mirror World Anomaly, While not useless, do tend to get ignored late game especially because a majority of the time its just better to do damage, heal, or buff, then to cast some kind of status effect. With the ability to heal, Status Effect skills like Toxic Shock and Protest, or even earlier skills like Mag Bind can be used as a way to not only deal small amounts of damage but restore potentially lots of health.
